I sometimes get Credit Card Verification Failed. It works for a while after resetting ChargerServer.exe. This happens every other transaction.
Solution:

Question: What is a restock transaction?
Al, can you explain what a restock transaction is? We've had an occurrence at a store where they used this option and they shouldn't have. Because this option hasn't been tested, is there a way that we can disable this option so that the stores cannot use it?

Restock mean restock the order, if by mistake and invoice is checked out, restock will bring it back to inventory. As of yet we don't have any option to disable this nice feature.

Question: missing conveyor location
as you know we use the system in two different location. we are experincing the following problem at our Classic locaion, when a quick check order is updated into more than one order, during Ready process, when each order is designated a different convyor number, the system automaticly changes all the location of the rest of the order to the last designated location. Senario: Mr jones drops of 14 items on Quick Check, we update the invoice into order number 8-5551(update) and 6-5552(update). when the orders are done we put 8-5551 on conveyoy number 123, so far not a problem, Then we put 6-5552 on conveyor number 456, at this time system changes the designated number for 8-5551 from 123 to 456. At check out we are unable to find 8-5551 beacuse it was stored at 123 but screen shows it is stored at 456 with the rest of the order. As far as we know Mission Hill and Classic have exact software and set up. ???????what are we doing wrong????
Solution:
Make sure not to enable no scanner while scanning, if your dryclean and laundry invoice is separated. Otherwise it would cuase this, since it does not know which one is dryclean or laundry invoice. The last one will overide the other location.

This error message can be related to many issues, the following solutions might help you to identify the problem. 1. Logon to Pccharge with your admin password, Select Utilities, select Repair option. Once done, select Compact option. 2. Some Debit/Credit cards combo might cause this error. To avoid this, select the tender type 1st (i.e Visa, M/C) before swiping the card. The system might not reconginze some of these combo cards. Pre-selecting the card would avoid this issue.

In Shoe Repair Management Software, I have configured my Zebra 2844 printer for Work order tag printing, but the system is printing a different type of tag.

Ok, after my investigation, I found out the following: Someone, I don't know who from Stitchit yesterday at 11:30 have replicated wrong customers (Store 247) to all the stores. This is a tedious process, and we have to logon to access each store and remove these customers.

Question: printed report wrong size
The tms software uses the OKI tag printer to print reports but the report is missing the right hand half of the report. It is like it is trying to print on the invoice printer (TMT88). In the configuration the OKI is selected as the report printer. There is no dedicated report printer.
Solution:
Make your Windows default printer is this printer. If your default Windows printer is a narrow printer (like Epson), you will be missing the right hand side. Also do the following: From main TMS screen, type 111182000, and press config. Select printing, and make sure your wide report printer is set to this.

Question: statement dates
AS per my conversation with Al, invoices are not be listed with production time, and presser information when looking at the trans list. ( this used to work before presser productivity report was installed.) Statement are not being base on check out dates even though that option is checked. When invoices are scanned done/ready the invoices are timed stamped with the time the location window is closed. I need to be able to search for "done" that would fall into dates chosen.

Question: Applying Quantities to Up Charges.
Hello,
We purchased and installed TMS dryclean a a couple of months ago. We like to know when, placing an order checkin, if their is a way of upcharging for multiple product quantities. Currently we have to press Upcharge eg. "Next Day Service" mutiple times and it takes away from our productivity and the store clerks are getting very vocal about this issue.
Example: Some one walks in with 20 Shirts for dry clean. We press the Dryclean Shirt button and then press QTY button. We enter 20 in Shirt qty and everything looks OK. But when it is same day service then we need to upcharge for all 20 shirts. Right now when pressing Upcharge we press the same day button but we can not change the QTY for upcharge "Same Day" and have to press Upcharge 20 times. We tried to change the price of the upcharge but that is not permitted and we get an "General Exception ..."
Is there a to change upcharges QTY on the run ?

For next/same day upcharge, you may enable this option in schedule, and system will upcharge auto. Go to management, schedules, retail price, and enable this option. Upcharge is per item not per invoice. Use any of the following methods: 1. If surcharge is for rush orders, then use same/next day option in schedule as above. 2. You may use the tax table to apply a surcharge to an invoice, In this case it is always on, unless the customer is tax exempted. You may call it x-chrg. Select TMS Config from csi folder, and type 11182000yiyi, select tax. 3. Use negative Coupon Go to Management, select system, coupon. Add a Surcharge 25% Coupon. For value enter -25.00 and put expiry date. In checkin, before pressing done, select discount, select coupon, select surcharge coupon, and select apply to all items. 4. Create a new price list by copying your selected schedule to a new schedule, let's call it Same Day Price list, and then use change prices option under tools in management/system and increase selected items by %. In checkin, you may press F4 to select the Same Day Price List, or press misc, then schedules.

Uninstall your current Pccharge, by selecting add/remove programs from Windows Control Panel. Download and install new Pccharge 5.7.1G from the following link 4. Question: Copying prices from one schedule to another
Do you not losse the history on the schedule when you disable it as the system now sees it as a different entity? If I draw reports on the new schedule, what happens to all the work that was done using the old schedule?

The solution below does not work as there is no copy price list under schedules. I can create a copy of a schedule but this is not what the question was. Please note from an existing schedule to an existing schedule, I do not want to create a copy of a schedule.

The soution is very simple. Inactive the existing schedule with wrong price list, and copy price list from an existing schedule to a new schedule. You may used the same name.

We don't have SQL backup job yet. If you have MS SQL enterprise Manager, select TMS, right click, select backup. Check mark schedule option. To do SQL backup from TMS, select MISC, and select backup database.

All my tags are printing on the printer defined in configuration as the RUSH printer instead of printing on the one defined as the TAG printer even after I set the rush days to be 5 in the schedule.

If I had an item that was $30 / KG and I had 7.5kg; how would I charge this?

Where do I input the % commision that is paid to the hotels for their work done and what report can I generate to reflect this commission?
Solution:
To add commision, update company or customer profile and enter commission (in the right hand side). Comissions are % based. As invoices are issued the commision is calculated auto. When making statment or payment, the comission is shown or deducted auto.

Never mind, sorted. The only way to rename a printer is to totally remove the driver, Epson software, all services & all registry settings; reboot your machine and re-install the driver with thye new name for the printer.

I renamed my printer and selected the new name in the configuration... now the tags don't print bold anymore or cut the paper between tags. It is still the same printer and driver as before and it did work on this printer using the current driver. Is ther anything that needs to be set up in the printer configuration?

Question: Restoring backups
How does one restore the XML backup that gets created daily if this is needed?
Solution:
Restore function is used to recover your data. Please make sure to restore your backup data only if you have lost your live data for whatever reason (i.e hard drive crash, etc). Select Windows Start, Programs, CSI, CSI SQL Manager. Select TMS for database name, select tools, and restore. When prompted for password enter 6760. Select proper backup file from \csi\backup\XMLbackup folder or any other device.
Follow instructions below to copy your price list and restore it into another store’s database manually. For stores with multiple locations we recommend purchasing CSI Replication tools. For additional information and pricing please visit our web site at From your head office/main computer, select CSI SQL manager as above, select tools, select backup, select price list. Save the file into your flash memory or hard drive, and name it pricelist. When using checkin, checkout, invoice utilities etc. functions, use the following method to search for existing customers or to add a new customer. You may begin by typing the customer name (lastname or firstname), customer number, phone number, company name or keytag number in the customer search section. To use a specific search option click on the desired field (e.g. Phone Number). When using the phone field, the default area code would be entered by the system. The names on the customer list would start to narrow down until your customer is visible. Highlight the customer and press the OK button. If the customer does not exist, a "Customer Not Found" message appears on the screen. Press Yes to create the new customer. Inactive customers will not be displayed. To locate such customers use the search option to locate the customer. You may wild character (*) to locate the customer that starts with any character. For example if you are using only last 4 digit of customer's phone number, typing *4786 would locate all customers that has phone numbers ending in 4786.

Solution:
To make a detail ticket, select the Checkin option from the main menu and select the customer from the list. To create an invoice, first choose the Service (e.g. dryclean, alteration, laundry etc.) then choose the Department (shirts, pants, dress etc.), and finally, click on the Item from the items list. The Details window appears, which allows you to specify details such as type, colour, pattern, fabric and miscellaneous. If you have multiple same items, select the add item option. If you are doing the same item with multiple services, select the same item option. If you don't require the details option menu to be popped-up for the remaining of the current invoice, press the don't show option. After filling in the details of the item, press OK and your item would be listed on the invoice. If the Upcharge option is enabled, the upcharge screen will be displayed. Select the appropriate upcharge item, if the upcharge option is not enabled, you may press the Upcharge button to activate the upcharge menu. Continue to enter items until the order is complete. When finished, press the Done button, which would bring up a Due Date Selection screen. A default due date would be shown on the calendar circled in red. Click on the date & time that the order would be ready. If the pre-pay option is enabled, you will be prompted to select the tender-type. If customer is not pre-paying the charges, select the charge option.
